TRAVEL BARGAINS ARE EVERYWHERE!

Wow...I knew when I went to Europe that things were bad in the tourism industry.

When was the last time that the airlines only charged $500 roundtrip to Frankfurt, Germany at the height of the summer travel season? I really knew that tourism was off when on that same cheap flight....there were empty seats! So many in fact that I had a row of 5 center seats all to myself. I can't remember the last time I lifted up the armrests, took a blanket and pillow and got a good night's sleep on an overnight flight to Europe!

Well...that was just the beginning. As you read in earlier blogs....there were no tourists in Germany, Austria and Hungary. This week I have been talking to friends in the tourism industry around the world and it seems that things are bad everywhere (for people who make a living from tourists that is). There were no tourists in Bordeaux....and few in Paris. Airfares to Africa have just fallen to the $1000 mark and safari travel is way off. My guide friends in Peru tell me that they are even have slack days and that is a shoch as Machu Picchu has just been named one of the New Wonders of the World! Even cuise ships are selling at rock bottom prices and a cruise for two for 7 nights in the Medeterraniean can be as little as $1800.00!

If you have never traveled before and have a passport.....CALL YOUR TRAVEL AGENT AND GO!....now before things start to turn around. You will never find the bargains that are around every corner at this very moment!

Take advantage and get out there and get to know our country and our world! Make peace with your neighbors and spread the good news that we Americans are not so bac after all.

Don't miss this oportunity to travel. The Travel Bargains are everywhere!....so I am off to somewhere quickly...not a minute to loose. I will write as soon as I get there!
