FAMILY ADVENTURE AT CLUB MED!

Who would have thought that just a week after returning from Vietnam, I would be off again? Certainly not me! But when a long time friend who represents Club Meds around the world asked me to join her to see the re-opening of Club Med Sandpiper...I was on my way to Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Billed as the only "all-inclusive" resort in the US...I was anxious to see this Club Med which had recently gone through a $25,000 face lift. The resort, just two hours down the road from home, was closed for more than a year getting it's re-tooling.

They opened with a bang in January of 2011 and now offer a World Class Tennis Training Academy, a Golf Academy committed to excellence, A Fitness Performance Training Center and their Get centered with the Yoga Retreat Program. So not only is it an all inclusive family resort, but Club Med Sandpiper also offers all kinds of programs for people of all ages.

What I like most is the fact that there are so many activities for kids. You can drop the wee ones off and then go play tennis, golf or just relax by the adult only pool and know that your kids are safe and supervised by trained professionals. You know that they are having a great time until the time you want to pick them up.

There are two restaurants, with indoor and outdoor seating, and a great bar that rocks into the night with all kinds of activities should you want to join in. Best of all....there are a myriad of activities for everyone. Want to become a circus star?...try the class on the trapeze (de rigour at every Club Med world wide). Want to sail out into the sunset in their Hobie cats and never done a day of sailing in your life? Roberto, the GO (Gracious Organizer) for water activities will take you out and show you the ropes and even go with you if you don't feel that secure when the wind fills your sails.

I could go on and on....but right now, I am going to sit and watch the sunset on the beach with my drink by my side. Time to relax and enjoy! It's all included you know. Tomorrow I play golf and maybe even get a tennis lesson! Its all included.
I might even join in on a Zumba class...as everything is complimentary at Club Med...just a few short miles from home!
