TO SEATTLE AND BACK-A SHORT HOP AWAY FROM HOME

I'm off again...for this side of the pond this time.  Seattle and the San Juan Islands here I come.

Meetings besides, I am doing some sightseeing while there.  I have heard that foodies like me have to visit Pike Market. The Space Needle...not that I don't like heights, however why stand in line just to go to the top of an old funky tower that was built years ago.

I am sure it must have a restaurant on top.  Don't all such places have a rotating one so you can "see the sights" as you eat your meal?

I am really excited about visiting the San Juan Islands.  I am totally psyched to see little villages and quaint ports.  My main interest here is also to see whales from a kayak.  I love kayaking anywhere, and to get an up close and personal look while I am at it is something I really want to do.  Only hope the whales want to see me in my kayak!

I would also like to take the ferry to Victoria in Canada, but when you travel across the country for a weekend, there is only so much time.  So I will have to content myself with visiting vineyards for some great wine tasting. Oh Well....!

So more on this later.  Right now I am going to sit back and enjoy my 4 hr and 45 min Delta non-stop.   Where is my nice bed that I had on the trip to Bangkok and Bhutan?   Another "Oh well"!
