I know you must get tired of reading about my trips home. I say trips home because every day at Flagler Beach/Palm Coast is like a vacation.....especially in the fall.
No we don't have colored leaves like the rest or the USA. What little leaf change we have (yellows, browns and yes...some reds)...comes in December. But we do have a wonderful time of year in September through mid December when the skies are blue, there is a cool breeze that whips up white caps on the lake behind my house and there are few people on the beaches.
The "snowbirds" from Canada and the upper Midwest have yet to come down for the winter....and we locals can walk for miles along Flagler's pink beaches with only the seagulls and pelicans for company.
This is my favorite time of year....mornings in the 60's and afternoons in the high 70's...and little to no humidity......heaven on earth.
There is a saying that "home is where the heart is" ....and my heart has been captured by this beautiful place. All my travels through the years have brought me great joy and learning....but Flagler Beach/Palm Coast is one of my all time favorites.
