WI-FI AT 32000 FEET!

Here I sit on a Delta flight in between Atlanta and Salt Lake City.....using the Internet. Hey....this is pretty neat! Who would have thought that we could connect on-line at 32,000 ft?
I just hope they never let people talk on their cell phones! As I fly around the world...more and more people are not turning off their cell phones when the plane leaves the gate. Conversations continue until the flight attendants have to lecture them on turning it off.
So...needless to say...if they ever allow people to talk on phones on planes....it will be a living hell!

As it is now...I can hardly type as the guy in front of me has his seat almost down in my lap. I honestly didn't know they reclined that much. I have an aisle seat thank goodness...but it seems lately that every time I fly...the guy in the center must have been a football player in his earlier days because their arms are always almost in my lap. People in center seats seem to think that as they are being tortured by sitting in the center...they can torture everyone around them.

I always remember the drunk sitting next to me on the flight from Nairobi Kenya to Rome one night several years ago. When he finally fell asleep...it was with his head on my shoulder. Try as I could, every time I would move..I would get the head back again with his whiskey breath wafting up into my nostrils. I think that was the worst flight I ever had. Not one flight attendant would help nor was there another seat available for me to move to.

This flight is not so bad...just an aluminium can packed with people like sardines. Any way....I have my trusty laptop to keep me company and entertain me for the 3 hour flight to Salt Lake City.

So I will sit back...listen to music...read...and play on my computer and do some work as well.
Thank you Delta for making this possible....I do like being able to communicate while wasting so many hours in the air.....
