UP AND AWAY

I find myself once again making connections in Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport.  It is a leisurly Wed morning in the Sky Club on the new F concourse.  I have 4 hours to wait for my flight to Tokyo's Narita Airport.  There I have just a 2 hour layover before I take another flight to Bangkok where I will overnight at the Novotel at the airport before taking my flight to Kathmandu.  Wow...30 hours of flights not including layovers.
I used all my miles, my husbands miles and lots of Amex points to be able to fly Business Class on the new Delta configuration on its 744.  When I checked in the Daytona agent surprised me by trying to change my seat.  "74 K?", she said...."but you are in Business Class".  Even the Delta agents don't know all the equipment they have.  My seat is upstairs in the re-configured 747-400.
I am totally psyched because on Delta's Asian routes, they have the small S shaped compartments for each seat.  Complete with comforters and fluffy pillows, I will have a chance to sleep in an actual bed type chair.
I think that this is part of the excitement that I feel about this trip to Nepal and Bhutan.  I have flown Business Class to Europe lots of times, but have never had the pleasure (I hope) of these little compartments.
So off again....a few more hours in Atlanta and then Asia here I come.  As many of you know, my favorite continent in the world is South America, however I love the wild places of Asia too.
Depending on wi-fi connections in the wild, I will try and keep you my readers informed of each destination that I will travel to this time.
NAMASTE!
