I have been so busy for the last two months.....I have not had time to tell you all where I have been.
Last week found me at Bellagio in Las Vegas for a meeting with all the suppliers of Virtuoso and other Virtuoso travel counselors from all over the world. It is a week of fun and learning.
This time...it was a real learning experience for me ....my first experience with hurricanes. Three days prior to departing for the city that never sleeps...Tropical Storm Fay struck out in the Caribbean and headed right to Palm Coast, Florida.
With tales of it turning into a full scale hurricane.....two days after my arrival in Vegas found me changing my air tickets (thank you Delta for allowing this).....and heading back to Florida to close down my house for the onslaught of Fay ..the tropical storm...hurricane.
Well as luck would have it...Fay was a Flop! She did come ashore just north of Palm Coast....but aside from 60 MPH winds......there was little damage or harm. We did get a lot of rain...and I had to let water out of my pool several times after 9" of rain fell.
Home again...learned a lot in those few days......now planning for the vacation in Ecuador!
